Pluses:
Win11Pro, 32GB Dual Channel, 1TB SSD, WiFi6, 10GB A and C ports, 2.5GB LAN, HDMI+DP+USBC display out, 15W TDP

Minus:
DDR4 3200Mhz
PCI Gen 3 Slot (1x)
SATA III Slot (1x)
Slower than 6600H by ~10% both single and multi core (2950 vs. 3149, 17435 vs 18289) that was recently as low as $216 last month (with 16GB) supporting 6400MHz, PCI Gen4 across 2 slots but 3x higher TDP at 45W)

Not sure why you got a thumbs down, ridiculous. I appreciated the quick recap cuz it made up my mind. Slower disk connection and DDR4 not DDR5 like my Firebat F1 has. I'd rather wait for something else. Thank you for posting!

For an 8 core, this CPU is pretty power limited. It's substantially slower than many other 8-core variants (H 255, 7940HS, 8745HS, 7840HS).

Still, it's enough for an email and web-browsing experience, and the price is really good considering the current RAM / storage market. If you just need a PC to plug into a screen now, just buy this.

The answer is in the specs for that CPU.

Ssd speed is overrated. I recently dug out an old X25m g2 80GB ssd from 2008, basically one of the first consumer SSDs and you cannot tell a difference in most tasks and gaming.

This old video shows this quite well

We have different use cases. Try running Prixmox with Debian & Docker and 46 containers on SSD vs. M.2... The container response time and boot up speed will be different.

The main issue is that most current Mini PC's are coming with 2x NVMe slots and both being PCIe x4. This one is not only slow (PCIe x3) but slower (SATA3!!) on the other one, not even supporting NVMe at all on it.

That means instead of getting real world ~3000 MB/s vs. ~7000 on even basic Gen4 drives on the primary slot. Then on the secondary that is capping you at a paltry 550 max -- and be forced to use a M.2 SATA SSD instead of M.2 NVMe in that slot.
Yes use cases are different but if you do any video editing or significant data transfers, the SATA one is painful, and the Gen3 will be noticeable. For web surfers, home automation and the like. Then no, it won't make any tangible difference. The 3000 NVMe for boot will be more than fast enough.
If you have to pay the kings ransom for M.2 NVMe's you may as well get Gen4 and have support for it on the hardware. Given the prices of similar MiniPC's in the last month (even a week ago, the Firebat AM02 was still ~$255 on sale) IF you need the higher perf drives. Though you got less (though faster) memory capped at 16 and slower NIC (1GB vs 2.5) though that can be solved with a $6 USB3 dongle nowdays.
