I bit on a similar Ninja set from this post. Lots of reviews from people saying it's a good set. Almost everything else Ninja I've bought in the past has lasted. The biggest complaint I saw was the knife block being plastic. I went on Ninjas site and went with the 13 peice with the walnut block. You get a 5" Santoku Knife and a 5" Boning Knife instead of a 7" and 6" respectively, and 4 steak knifes over 8, but knowing my wife, she'll want the wooden block over longer knifes and more steak knifes. Came out to $252 shipped pre-tax. I know I can get a Wusthof 3 peice for $325 but I don't think I'm there yet. This ought to be good enough for us as casual home cooks, at least through the 10 year warranty.
