The TCL QM6K Pro looks like a strong budget 75 inch mini LED TV for movies and gaming, with 312 local dimming zones, solid black levels, accurate HDR, and more consistent VRR than the comparable Hisense option. The Costco Pro version is described as using a QM7K style panel with better anti glare handling, while keeping QM6K level contrast, colors, and brightness. Google TV should handle streaming and IPTV apps, and Wi Fi 5 is not seen as a limitation for 4K playback. The main hesitation is value versus the U6 and the higher tier 7K, since the extra cost is harder to justify for some. A capable upgrade if you want better dark room performance and reflections control.

Common Questions (5)

  • It has anti-glare handling that can outperform older TCL sets like the P607, and the QM7K-style panel is described as adding the anti-glare aspect. That makes it a better fit for brighter rooms than a standard glossy TV.

  • Yes. 4K streaming can run fine on Wi‑Fi 5, and the TV is reported to handle 4K streaming without issue, so Wi‑Fi 6 is not necessary for typical use.

  • It is described as the QM6K performance with the QM7K panel's anti-glare characteristics, while keeping QM6K-level dimming zones, contrast, colors, and brightness. Another comment also says it uses the same panel as the QM7.

  • The 75-inch model has 312 local dimming zones. That helps with contrast control and darker-scene performance for movies and gaming.

  • Yes. Because it uses Google TV, IPTV apps should run normally on it.

Its WiFi 5. Isn't that a dealbreaker? At least if you have alot to stream too? Thats why I didn't get one. Comments??
4k streaming requires like 25-50mbps. Wifi G would be fine lol

QM6K pro I read was like the equivalent of a QM7 panel.
it is not, but it is...kinda. it's the QM6K with the QM7K panel...but all of the dimming zones, contrast, colors, and brightness of the QM6K... basically it has the anti-glare aspects of the QM7K, that's all

yeah, I have a buddy who bought it. it's a surprisingly capable set for the price. not as good as the 7K by any stretch of the imagination, but VERY capable on a budget compared to what budget TVs were 10 years ago. have fun with it!

That hasn't been my experience at all. Handles reflections much better than our old TCL P607.

WIFI 5 can easily support 500mbit. A 4k stream from an online streaming service isn't touching that. Won't touch 100mbit
