I don't know about this but I had one of the small cycling ones for rehabing my legs (an eventually thinking I'd use it for cardio while at the desk) and it was a really jarring motion and hard to use. So I got a $300 cycle for the house and it was not as bad but definitely was not easy. I figured this is because the lower cost stuff is made without the quality control an extra stuff like quality pistons and gears real gym equipment has.

This is pretty common in my decades of fitness expecting cheap things you don't see in gyms to be gimmicky stuff that sounds good cause cheap; but learning why I end up driving to the gym. even after spending 1k on dumbells an benches you outgrow that an need a rack. A good cycle wasn't cheap when I shopped for them in 2010s. This could be one of those jarring things. And I would wanna try one before buying.
