wish the peanut butter kind was on sale. if you're going to be eating box cereal, eat this stuff, pretty high in fiber and protein for what it is, much better than the colorful kids cereals

Yeah, I haven't tried this one, it's not as appealing.
I usually get both the peanut butter and chocolate on SS and then mix the bowl half and half. Peanut butter over chocolate, because the chocolate needs softened by the milk; it's much crunchier.

The high Fiber is no joke. Helps clean you out. I don't mix this with MCT oil because of that.

Completely agree on the Peanut Butter one. By far my favorite, but this original really isn't bad at all. I have no issues substituting it every so often when it is on sale like this.

Have they changed the recipe? I'm new to this cereal but folks on Target are complaining about a new recipe, at least for the Peanut Butter. High ratings on Amazon. Not great ratings on Target. Was going to try it out.

I get the peanut butter and the chocolate pretty regularly and I haven't noticed anything, so unless they've changed the recipe within the past couple months I think it's the same.

Protein + Fiber ..... + SUGAR. Pass.
I mean dude, its 9 grams. Thats a pretty low amount of sugar for a cup and a quarter of cereal just to give it some flavor. The other ingredients in this are pretty decent too nothing crazy unhealthy or artificial.

They are bragging about it having 12 grams or fiber/protein. So the amount of sugar is less at 9 grams, but relatable to the primary thing they are touting as a benefit. I see no more need for sugar in a product like this than I would in spaghetti sauce.

The only way you're going to get more fiber with less sugar is to eat road gravel

Workout influencer just released a video on protein cereal. Ranked based on taste and good sources of protein. Folks may be interested and this product is tested. https://youtu.be/T_V7VX7f430?si=iDCj8OLSeLLmZy4w

These days, I am letting the Yuka app drive my cereal decisions, and Kashi rates EXCELLENT and GOOD (depending on the different flavors, etc), with no harmful or questionable additives.

The high-protein, high-fiber version of Kashi will definitely clean you out, though, so try it in the privacy of your home for a day or two to see how your digestive system responds before going all in as I did. Thankfully, I work from home. 😬
