Not sure if the SQD is worth it, I seen them and yes the pic is better than QM8k, but I still think the 83" LG C5 would be a better buy for about $350 more at Greentoe. Going to be plenty of choices in this price range, 2 grand is a lot of money for a 75" TV to Me.

$200 helps, still favor the Hisense U8k or LG C5 in that range, pure matter of choice at this point.
I had a lot of challenges with an LG C4, keeping the HDMI CRC synced to my 8 year old Denon receiver, and really hated the WebOS interface. Loved the panel though. Left it with my ex. Hoping I don't regret getting the QM8L but I have a brighter living room at my new place and I have a Google streamer on my other TV so hoping I prefer the interface on the new TV. It was pricey even with the 10% off. Scheduled to be delivered by BestBuy Monday.

I know exactly what You mean on the audio issue, most installs I done with older receiver I would almost always use the digital (spdif) output for audio, CEC is not always the best compatibility on older equipment, however most newer units are better for HDMI.
