If you've seen literally any boxing movie, you've seen the real battle ropes being used in the training scenes. They are long, thick heavy ropes, grabbed by the ends & pumped up and down, creating waves in the rope. As silly as it may sound, it's a very popular workout. Especially amongst professional fighters. Pretty sure that's how they got the name "Battle Ropes".

Right, but you need a lot of room to use real battle ropes. Of course, these won't replace the real thing, but there's an element of convenience that can make these appealing to someone who doesn't have the space to use and store real battle ropes. You actually need a lot of room to use real battle ropes, plus they aren't the easiest things to store, own, and use. I'm thinking using these would be akin to like using something like a Bowflex or Soloflex, over real deadweights. It's def not as good as the real thing, but it's something, and it's 10 times more convenient.
