Private Selection 4 layer cake slices are a free in store bakery treat that can be found through Kroger family apps, often by searching cake slice and clipping the yellow View Offer banner. The offer appears across several banners and locations, including Kroger, Ralphs, Fred Meyer, QFC, and Frys, and the qualifying slices can include flavors like German chocolate, carrot cake, fudge, and tiramisu substitutions when stock runs out. The main catches are store specific availability and the need to grab the exact 4 layer slice, since similar cakes may not trigger the coupon. The cake itself is described as basic, with some slices coming off dry or bland.
Common Questions (5)
The offer can load in Fred Meyer and QFC apps in WA and Oregon, and it is also available at Fry's. It does not appear to carry over to every Kroger affiliate, with reports that it is missing at Harris Teeter and Smith's.
Only the specific Private Selection "4 layer" cake slices qualify. Similar-looking cake pieces may not trigger the coupon, so check the label and the wedge photo carefully before redeeming.
Availability varies by store, and some locations have plenty of qualifying flavors while others have none. If the cake slices are out, a bakery employee may substitute another dessert such as tiramisu.
Search for "cake slice" in the Kroger app, then scroll to Private Selection with the wedge photo and tap the item to reveal the coupon. The coupon may not appear under the general coupons/savings search, so searching products is the reliable path.
The offer was reported as expiring on 5/12 in at least one store/app. That makes it a short-window pickup deal, so clipping it early helps if you plan to redeem later.
