T-Mobile is truly trash now, they skipped out on giving me the one month on us until I called in about it. And then I was fighting them on the rebate for months after it was due and just gave up after being kicked around and being asked to continuously keep waiting. The terrible foreign csr is fake nice but can't do anything right

We use Mint Mobile for cell service, and they had a promo recently for the same internet service for $360 for one year ($30/month). Never an issue with cell service unless power to the nearest tower is out, and internet is what is expected.

I signed up in December and did receive my $300 rebate from them. I had to watch it and eventually call, but they paid me promptly after that.

I got the $300 card during Black Friday. Yeah, they suck and don't come through with their offers. It's bad because people give up and ignore it and still keep the service. I had to contact T-Force through X to get the month on us applied, then my rebate got rejected saying I didn't qualify, wtf. I contacted T-Force for that also and they applied a $300 credit to my account. I got their most expensive plan to get the $300 rebate. I just downgraded to Rely so I'll see if it affects speed. No complaints, I'm getting 200-800Mbps DL. But T-Mobile sucks for not automatically applying these offers, it's criminal behavior to customers.

I am currently on the plan, and wanna let you know what to be careful of.
  1. Make sure Monthonus is applied before finishing your checkout
T-Mob system sucks, and it takes out the code a lot of time, even if you entered correctly, and it will be pain in the ass to fix later up
  2. Make sure to visit "promotions.tmobile.com" to submit the rebate
Never ever contact the Rebate team agent and let them manually submit for you. NEVER, this cause issue, and i have twice denied, where I had to get the amount back as credit rather then rebate.
  3. Make sure to contact T-force if there is trouble.
You will curse T-mob if you ever to call there phone customer service. They are the worst service agent i have ever met, and every single time you called them they will give millions of different answers. T-force is the one you should contact and they will pretty much smooth out.
  4. Do not add/ cancel any additional line
Not once, but more than twice the agents told me the one freakin reason i am having all kinds of trouble is because i add the second line and cancelled where their system is f*up to get this correctly smooth out once you played around. and thus you will start having pain to contact T-force.
Make sure to done correctly at first step. as if somehow the freakin reason the rebate being denied, they will ask you to resubmit, and that is another 2-3month. at 2nd round if it being denied again, Go straight to FTC complaints line, or BBB complaints submission, where T-mob exec team will then look into your account and get you what you deserved.

After third resubmission, and denial of rebate, and T-force + customer care to offered multiple gesture back, My internet line seems comedy as i have so much credit in my account๐Ÿ˜‚. By the way, if the monthonus not applied at the 2nd month bill, just contact T-force and let them know you did applied, and they will manually add the credit.

Same, and it's $55 and not $50. I'm leaving after my 3rd month.

Beware.
  • Terrible customer service.
    • The vast majority of T-Mobile's customer service is off-shored and are extremely limited on what they can actually do or help with.
    • The only way to speak to a native speaker or even someone in the US, is in-person, at a T-Mobile store, provided there is one within reasonable driving distance to you.
  • Good luck cancelling.
    • The cancellation department engages in shady practices to inflate their save metrics.
    • I have called to cancel twice, spoke with "managers" both times, was assured my service would be cancelled at the end of the billing cycle and yet continued to receive bills for service that should have been cancelled. I disabled my CC so that I would stop being charged and the line would cancel automatically for non-payment, hoping to call back in for a third time and get the charges credited back to the original date the line was supposed to be cancelled. Now T-Mobile won't even talk to me because they can't send verification e-mails to closed accounts. Escalating to the supposed highest manager in the call center was no help, they literally hung up on me, refusing to send me to 3rd party ID verification.
    • T-Mobile had highly rated customer service in the early 2000's when their network was budding. Now it seems they are too big to fail, aka care. This is not the same company.
    • They no longer send return kits when you cancel service. Its up to you to print out a label, find a box, and take the modem to UPS.
  • Scummy product marketing tactics...
    • Since TMHI launched, T-mobile has maintained the starting price tier, but dialed back what you get at that price point and instead created new plans at higher prices without any actual new features or capabilities. They claim 5 year price guarantee on the plans, but that doesn't mean the plans will exist for 5 years. Meaning you will be grandfathered at some point, and if you opt to go up or down in plans you will have to switch to the current plans, which based on their track record, go up in price and down in features.
    • There is no guarantee that the higher tiers of service will regularly provide increased speeds or reliability.
      • All tiers describe the speeds as 'Typical', an ambiguous, indeterminate word.
      • T-Mobiles terms of service literally state there are no guarantees for the reasons you are giving them money:
        • "You agree that we are not liable for problems relating to Service availability or quality."
If you need wireless home internet and T-Mobile has the best coverage/speed, note that there are a few companies out there selling home internet service that uses the T-Mobile network at or below what T-Mobile is charging for the same level of service, and you can get compatible 5G gateways in practically new condition on eBay for very cheap.

If you are planning to try and stop it in 6 months, yes. Otherwise save your time. The speed will be slower and slower eventually you cannot stay with it and quit. The starting speed they offer is about 400mbps and eventually less than 80 in 3-4 months. Also, it really bothers me me that they stop your network around midnight which is a big NO for me.

Tried this for work and had to return it in less than a month. It doesn't work well for VPNs. I had 5 bars signal and both normal and VPN traffic would stop for 2-3 minutes at a time, randomly. Found out that it wasn't just me or my area. I wanted to have them as a backup to my AT&T fiber, but it wasn't even good as a backup.

I hope your experience is better.

Can you elaborate more on the stop your network around midnight?

Dispute the charges. That is one way to immediately get your account cancel

Problem is, Cap1 is known for worst of the worst customer serivce of all, and they require you to wait for 90-days. also, a lot of people claiming none are tracked, including me that had to cancel 15-days and rather go with TCB. DOC and reddit have so many DPs on T-mob and Cap1 messing around what they promised. so its really YMMV, and if you are ready to get hassle around. Worst case scenario you can be at is having $300 credit + no cashbacks.
