Just used these a week ago and needed more than I thought. My 5 ton unit needed 2 cans alone. 3 ton and 1 ton could get away with 1 can each.

Holy heck a 5 ton unit? Thats commercial territory.
But yes, probably best to get 3 cans of this, especially if you haven't cleaned your coils in years.

Re-post - price was cheaper a month ago!
Best to just get a coil cleaner concentrate for $8 and have enough for years.
BTW - soapy water does a great job, and is preferred for light soil / yearly cleaning

Purchased 6 cans. Two for each house, mine and both children. Our local power company had a free program that came out and cleaned mine last year so I'm saving my cans for next year as I only had to wash it down this year like he showed me with only water.

I used this for the first time like 3 years ago on an ac that's almost 20 years old and it turns out the AC was really clean to begin with. I guess it depends what the AC is near. This one is surrounded by asphalt so it just had a little bit of dust and dirt and it didn't take much to clean it

Soap is not recommended as it can cause premature corrosion. Please advise about that $8 concentrate
