Community Reviews
This OmniBook 5 stands out for packing a Ryzen AI 7 350, 32GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD at a price that is hard to match, making it appealing for everyday use and occasional travel. The 16 inch IPS touchscreen is fine for basic work, and the port selection includes USB C, HDMI, and support for multiple external monitors. The main knocks are the display, with poor 62.5 percent sRGB coverage and complaints that 1920 by 1200 is not really 2K, plus no Thunderbolt or USB4. Wi Fi reliability, soldered memory, and reports of crashes or blue screens add caution, so it fits best if the specs matter more than the screen and upgradeability.
Common Questions (5)
No. The panel is 1920 x 1200, which is closer to extended 1080p than true 2K; several comments also call the screen weak for the price and note only 62.5% sRGB coverage.
The RAM is soldered, so there are no SODIMM upgrade slots. That makes the 32GB configuration valuable up front if you want to avoid buying a new laptop later for more memory.
One owner reports frequent Wi‑Fi disconnects at school and trouble dual-booting Arch because the machine did not detect bootloaders in separate Linux or Windows EFI partitions. Another comment suggests swapping in an Intel AX210 if the Wi‑Fi card is not soldered.
No Thunderbolt or USB4 is listed. It has 2 USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports with DP Alt Mode plus HDMI, so it can still drive external displays and power over USB-C.
Yes, it should handle one-cable power plus multi-monitor output through USB-C DP Alt Mode, and it also has HDMI. One comment says it should support up to 3 external monitors, possibly more depending on the USB-A ports.

- wifi at home is good, at school, I don't know why it got disconnected very often.
- Unable to dual boot with Arch: the machine didn't see the bootloader in a separate Linux EFI partition or even in the Windows EFI partition.
Everything else is great.
