Insane value. Youre getting a flagship CPU and flagship chipset motherboard for less than the cost of a WORSE 9950x (and with no motherboard).
Yes LGA1851 (motherboard socket) is likely going to get replaced next gen, but this CPU will last you like 7+ years before you'll want to replace it. Look at the CPU in your system today and how hold it is, 99% of people dont upgrade every generation. AM5 is also coming to an end, AM6 is expected to release in 2027-2028 and AMD releases CPUs every 2 years, so AM5 has 1 last CPU and then its obsolete too.
The only real pain point is DDR5 pricing, but again, every modern system uses it and the prices arent going to change anytime soon.
If youre looking to build/upgrade this is one of the better deals you can go with.

Awesome deal. If RAM and SSD prices weren't insane I would bite on this deal. I guess I could use my existing DDR5 6000 RAM and storage from my 12700k rig. Who knows if or when DDR5 7200 RAM will ever be affordable.
That's what I do, I switch from DDR5 LGA1700 and sell the Motherboard and CPU. I'm sure I get at least half of what the bundle costs after heavy tax back.

Yeah... It looks like Intel comeback will be ruined by AI insiable hunger for RAM and storage 😦
If you mean for gamers and PC users, maybe. If you mean for the company, it sure doesn't look like the comeback is ruined today.

And it'll be down again shortly, it's only up due to the decisions that resulted in much higher earnings-per-share than forecast. The quarterly revenue has barely budged YoY. If they do not meet forecasts for consumer launch of Nova Lake later this year, it's a wash, despite "AI" funding.

Isn't the Master the highest Tier Boards Gigabyte have? I mean sure I have a Master Top AI which is E-ATX and has more here and there but M.2 slot less but in the end are they not all the High End Boards from Gigabyte in performance and build quality? If it wasn't Intel the board would be $500+
They're not the same SKU. It's Master, Master AI Top, Tachyon, then Extreme AI Top. The regular Master isn't a $500 board, and no the AMD variants are not $500 either. I assumed you were just exaggerating before, but yeah, the naming is a little confusing.

If you say so. I have multiple stocks that are up big and none of the fundamentals indicate they should have gone up this much.

I'm a retired industry analyst, so understand I couldn't care less if you hold or sell. Objectively, Intel's earnings-per-share were 29 cent, instead of the 1-3 cent forecast, but if you think you have a better reason, I'm not going to tell you otherwise.

I appreciate you clarifying that. However I can't find a AORUS MASTER AM5 for anywhere near the price the Intel is at, not to say I can't find nothing under $500 on pcpartpicker.

It's a high end mobo, 10GbE is a dead giveaway since across the manufacturers they only put that on $600-$1200 (original MSRP) motherboards but it's not "halo tier." Still high end for sure.

They didn't do AI Top on AM5, the X870 Master is short supply, could also be third-party listings you're seeing for $500, not sure. It's been around $350 for ages though. The $500 AM5 board is the Tachyon. pcpartpicker is great and all, but you really need to be buying and building with all of the above to know the pricing, that or find a real price history, not those that wipe every time Amazon, etc. change the stock number.

Certainly makes that lack of an upgrade path easier to swallow when you're getting a top-tier mobo for what ~$155? I don't need it, but even if I did I'd still probably hold just because I know Nova Lake would make me really wish I waited, even though it will be priced horrendously. If I desperately needed a new build right now, this would be in the running for sure.

Good time to update your mobo and CPU if you've already got some ddr5 RAM. Super high ram prices are driving down costs of other parts due to lack of demand.

I think it's a great time to make an upgrade from the 12700k. That chip is in high demand right now by people who want to use DDR4, so a great time to sell it and use your DDR5 on this combo. DDR 6000 will be fine, by the way, and if it happens to be Hynix chip ram (a lot of those early 6000 kits were) you should be able to easily get it to 7200mhz with the vastly improved memory controller and MB design here
