This A11+ offers six years of Android updates and seven years of security updates. How many years of updates is Walmart promising?
Community Reviews
Samsung's Galaxy Tab A11+ is being framed as a solid everyday Android tablet with strong value at around $200, especially for normal tasks and Samsung's extra preinstalled features. The six years of Android updates and seven years of security updates stand out, and the 6GB RAM version is seen as a better long term bet than cheaper alternatives. The main knocks are Samsung's bloatware, including AppCloud and other preinstalled apps, plus concerns about how much can be disabled or removed. It is a practical pick if you want Samsung features and long update support without chasing a premium tablet.
Common Questions (5)
It comes with Samsung's extra apps and features preinstalled, including AppCloud and One UI extras. Some of those apps can be uninstalled, disabled, or ignored, but Samsung software is still a major part of the tablet experience.
It is described as good for normal everyday use such as general apps and routine tasks. It is not the best fit for heavier workloads like gaming or video editing, and the 6GB RAM / 128GB configuration is aimed more at mainstream use than power-user work.
Yes, many Samsung apps can be uninstalled, disabled, or simply ignored. Some comments note that a few Samsung apps may still remain active or reappear after updates, so fully cleaning it up can take extra effort.
The A11+ is described as faster in CPU and GPU performance and has much longer update support, while the onn Pro 12.1 is described as cheaper with a better screen and less bloat. If update longevity matters more, the Samsung is the stronger pick; if price and a cleaner Android setup matter more, the onn is the alternative.
The A11+ is listed as getting six years of Android updates and seven years of security updates, with one comment stating support runs until the end of 2032. That long update window is a key reason to choose it over cheaper tablets with less clear support.

Appcloud is one of the most evasive spyware on the market... so much so, that it installs software that it thinks you want without your permission... ALL for the glory of the American dollar and capitalism.
This is why I say... wait for a Pixel sale, that tablet is better then this one and it sells for $250 when on sale AND there is ZERO bloat and ZERO spyware.
And I am talking about using ADB debugging tool and a PC to help... but figure this is a 5+ hour job to vet every single piece of software correctly.

HUGE difference between THIS and the pixel tablet.
One device has the most Bloatware and the most Spyware of any device and the other has zero bloatware and zero spyware.
One gets ALL the updates and the other gets about half the updates.. half the updates don't get installed on a Samsung due to interfering with One UI and bixely.
This sells for $200 when the Pixel Tablet which is better in almost every way sells for $250.00.

Would like to point out that Samsung devices were the worste devices regarding security in 2025. The issues are that
1. Many updates (like 50%) do not ever get installed on Samsung devices cause it may interfer with One UI.
2. Most updates are delayed, sometimes the delay could be like one year long. Samsung did this to the Google Play Store System Update in 2025.
3. Samsung was the most vulnerable phones/tablet in 2025... like your Samsung Ultra S25 was more vulnerable then any other new phone last year.
I do not put in much faith with Samsung's devices regarding updates.
And your point is????

Samsung has butchered the google OS with OneUI. Half the updates don't get installed... hundreds of additional vulnerability due to One UI vs a pixel tablet. Samsung devices were the most vulnerable (even with updates) in 2025 due to their update issues. I think Samsung was the only tablet that had zero click issues with viruses.
So to say they are the same... I think not. To me, the only similarities is they both can run Android apps. And the singularities end there.
Basically, the two tablets do not use the "identical" OS due to Samsung who has butchered google's OS for over a decade now and every year is it worse and worse... Like APPCLOUD that is built into Samsung's One UI which runs with Google OS. There is no program on a Pixel Phone that is owned by a third party who can spy on what you are doing and can install WHAT EVER WHEN EVER the third party wants... This is part of Samsung's One UI and has nothing to do with Google's OS.
So it is documented that Google and Samsung have been fighting for over a decade regarding what is allowed and what is not allowed.
