Samsung's Galaxy Tab A11+ is being framed as a solid everyday Android tablet with strong value at around $200, especially for normal tasks and Samsung's extra preinstalled features. The six years of Android updates and seven years of security updates stand out, and the 6GB RAM version is seen as a better long term bet than cheaper alternatives. The main knocks are Samsung's bloatware, including AppCloud and other preinstalled apps, plus concerns about how much can be disabled or removed. It is a practical pick if you want Samsung features and long update support without chasing a premium tablet.

  • The tablet is described as suitable for everyday use beyond gaming and video editing.

  • Samsung pre-installs extra features that can replace Play Store searches for common tasks.

  • Unused Samsung apps can be uninstalled, disabled, or ignored to reduce clutter.

  • The deal's higher cashback can come from a monthly Prime Card Bonus promotion.

  • Bloatware and Google-related prompts can be hard to remove or disable on Samsung tablets.

  • AppCloud is described as preinstalled and as intrusive software that installs without permission.

  • Update behavior is questioned, with claims that many updates do not install or arrive with long delays.

  • Pen support is reported as missing, with the tablet not working with Samsung pens.

I'm confused.... Prime Visa Card Holders get 5% back on Amazon purchases... not 20%???
The 20% cash back applied to 8 Samsung tablets. I already have most Samsung A series tablet including A11. Otherwise, I would go for it.

Wife wants a tablet, is this a good choice for just browsing/videos. Maybe basic level of games?
Yeah, it is good for normal stuff. Better than it's predecessor the A9. Just try to disable/uninstall any apps you don't need.

Does this have the usual Samsung mobile device bloatware?
The usual bloatware... NOPE. It has MUCH more then that... this is the FIRST tablet that was sold in North America with APPCLOUD preinstalled.

Appcloud is one of the most evasive spyware on the market... so much so, that it installs software that it thinks you want without your permission... ALL for the glory of the American dollar and capitalism.

This is why I say... wait for a Pixel sale, that tablet is better then this one and it sells for $250 when on sale AND there is ZERO bloat and ZERO spyware.

You do know that there are hundreds of apps... how do you know which ones to delete or disable... And Samsung enables stuff after updates.

And I am talking about using ADB debugging tool and a PC to help... but figure this is a 5+ hour job to vet every single piece of software correctly.

6 gb ram? A little small, no?
Google has made it the bare minimum of RAM a Android tablet can have that Starts with Android 16. So of course, Samsung is using the bare minimum.

You mean a Pixel tablet? In a round about way, nearly all Android tablets including this Samsung, are Google tablets. Android to Google is the same as iOS is to Apple. Google does make there own line of tablets, and those are called Pixels, but Google Pixels are also Android devices. It probably sounds more confusing than it is.
And your point is????

HUGE difference between THIS and the pixel tablet.

One device has the most Bloatware and the most Spyware of any device and the other has zero bloatware and zero spyware.

One gets ALL the updates and the other gets about half the updates.. half the updates don't get installed on a Samsung due to interfering with One UI and bixely.

This sells for $200 when the Pixel Tablet which is better in almost every way sells for $250.00.

Personally, I don't like the direction the Onn brand is starting to head.

This A11+ offers six years of Android updates and seven years of security updates. How many years of updates is Walmart promising?

Would like to point out that Samsung devices were the worste devices regarding security in 2025. The issues are that
1. Many updates (like 50%) do not ever get installed on Samsung devices cause it may interfer with One UI.
2. Most updates are delayed, sometimes the delay could be like one year long. Samsung did this to the Google Play Store System Update in 2025.
3. Samsung was the most vulnerable phones/tablet in 2025... like your Samsung Ultra S25 was more vulnerable then any other new phone last year.

I do not put in much faith with Samsung's devices regarding updates.

I was genuinely not aware of this thank you for the detailed reply. I had an early samsung android phone ten years ago where the bloatware was horrible and since then I've avoided them and stuck with OnePlus. Say what you will, but they at least don't have nearly the bloatware Samsung does.

The point is that both this and the pixel tablet are both Androids. So in a way, they are both Google tablets since Android is Googles Operating System. TF? The Pixel is a tablet made by Google, but both the Pixel and this tablet use Google's OS, which is Android. Not really that hard to undersand.

So...

Samsung has butchered the google OS with OneUI. Half the updates don't get installed... hundreds of additional vulnerability due to One UI vs a pixel tablet. Samsung devices were the most vulnerable (even with updates) in 2025 due to their update issues. I think Samsung was the only tablet that had zero click issues with viruses.

So to say they are the same... I think not. To me, the only similarities is they both can run Android apps. And the singularities end there.

Basically, the two tablets do not use the "identical" OS due to Samsung who has butchered google's OS for over a decade now and every year is it worse and worse... Like APPCLOUD that is built into Samsung's One UI which runs with Google OS. There is no program on a Pixel Phone that is owned by a third party who can spy on what you are doing and can install WHAT EVER WHEN EVER the third party wants... This is part of Samsung's One UI and has nothing to do with Google's OS.

So it is documented that Google and Samsung have been fighting for over a decade regarding what is allowed and what is not allowed.

The Pixel Tablet isn't getting anymore Android updates after next month and security updates end in 2028. The A 11+ will receive Android and security updates until the end of 2032.

Actually,.. it is the exact same Android operating system, and both devices get any and all official Android OS updates directly from Google. Just because Samsung skins theirs to look different and gives you a different UI & apps, and the Pixel is far more vanilla Android, doesn't mean under the hood, it's not the same exact operating system because it is. You can go into the settings of any Android device and see exactly what version of Android it's running.
