Not hating on the product (I bought an Anova a long time ago on clearance), but the "feeds hundreds" claim is absurd unless you're somehow rocking a fleet of these simultaneously.

FWIW my Anova, about 4 years old, once it gets hot the display becomes illegible and it drops off the WiFi. I was grandfathered in to no subscription charge for the app, but I'm not reinvesting in Anova to have to pay for app usage with new models.
