Just FYI for people who think they have enough; Feline Greenies went on sale back in 2020 for a few bucks ($4-8 depending on the sale) per 16oz container, and ~$3-5 for the 10oz tooth cleaning treats. I bought dozens—over 50 containers between Apr '20 and Jan '21. They probably lasted me 2 years, which is good because aside from 1 or 2 instances they pretty much haven't gone on sale for 4 years (and never like they did in 2020).

I'm getting similar vibes here given the sales that have been cycling over the last 6 weeks or so—this could continue, but after they get rid of whatever backstock they're trying to liquidate, they might not go on sale for a year (or more). If I were a disturbingly manipulative marketing exec & approached unit-shifting like a military-grade psyop, I'd try to make use of my backstock by cycling sales through my product lines to maximize consumer reliance on my product, then jack up the price to get as much mileage out of MSRP as possible until it was time to bait the already cash-strapped consumer base back into the equivalent of an abusive relationship. Call me cynical, I guess.

I know for most people it's just cat treats, but these can be extremely useful for shelters & people who work with TNR populations who might not be able to afford them otherwise, so it always bugs me to notice patterns like this. Just something to think about, that's all.
