This is actually a solid price. GoPro has a relatively slow product cycle, so this model will likely remain current for at least the next two years. In terms of specs, it's comparable (almost) to the latest generation from Insta360 and DJI.
However, GoPro's 360 software still isn't as refined as Insta360's. Fun fact: there's a workaround that lets you use a GoPro together with Insta360's software. If you are already in the GoPro ecosystem, this could be a good buy.

I think they would be acquired. But you are right - you'd definitely bet on an American company in a very competitive market segment.

Mine comes in tomorrow. Fuzz... mold? Could have been wet and stored improperly.
