The MSRP doesn't make it seem like a good deal, until you factor in the recent price increases of RAM and Storage. Also, there are other similar Zenbook models with 16GB RAM and a worse CPU (AI 445), going for $1500.
The worst part of this model (3406) and series (Zenbook 14) is that you really have to read the fine print to know what you are getting. This one is the 3406KA which appears to be exclusively sold at Walmart.
The newer version (5406SA) does offer WiFi 7, 120Hz screen (2880 x 1800), and the Intel Core 2 (258V), but for $1600.
