I have the m12 tower light use it in my basement shop off wall power. It pulls 23w on high and 16w on low. It's not as tall as the m18 lights but is more compact, sets up faster. Bouncing the light off the low ceiling works well for me. It's also been used for loading box trucks at night.
I wish the extension tubes had stronger detents. I wish the batteries were easier to remove. Otherwise an incredibly useful light with good color rendition that's easy on the eyes.
Nice. I have the M18, and it's great, but bulky. This will be easier to work with, and I've been using my M12 tools for most jobs now that I'm invested in the Fuel line. I'll only be carrying the M18s for my inflator at this point.
Product photos say for a 6.0 battery you get 10hr on high and 4hr on low.
For a 2.0 battery I would expect roughly a third of that. I am only guessing so it could be less.
I very rarely use mine with 2AH batteries, but I'd say maybe an 1 hour on high, or just a bit more before it starts blinking for the 10 minutes warning. If you typically don't need light for long it might be doable but otherwise you will be swapping lots of batteries.
I personally use these with 4s at a minimum, normally the 6AH lives in mine with a 4 in reserve while the 6 charges.
I'm not so sure the 10 hour claim on 6AH is accurate; between 6-8 seems more probable, they would not quite get through a full work day, and then need charged when I quit for the day, or first thing the next morning when I was digging in my basement.

I have owned this for about 6 years now and it's great! By far my favorite and most used M12 "tool" next to my 1st gen M12 "1/2 stubby torque gun. Being dual powered is it's best feature and how easy it is the carry around and setup or break down. I use 6.0Ah batteries with mine and I honestly wouldn't use and battery that isn't the flat rectangle bottom, so any XC battery is what you'll want. My batteries are generics, so definitely not getting 10 hours out of them, barley even half, but it's enough for what I use it for when I use mine.
