I have one of these. Thought it was going to be the be all and end all of streaming devices. Coordinating from multiple apps, having a continue watching for whatever show from whatever service...

None of it works quite right. It forgets where I was if I leave a show, it marks shows as watched when they were simply opened.

I hate it. I have an Apple TV sitting here waiting to replace it, but I almost dispise apple more than this tv box.

I wish it worked right. I really do. It just doesn't.

The performance of the Onn 4k Pro v2 is 25% more powerful than the Google streamer only beaten by the Nvidia shield and the Fire cube, the 4k Pro uses the S905X5M chipset with 3GB of memory and 32GB of storage, downside is USB 2.0 & 100Mbps LAN on the upside the Pro has wifi6 which on my unit hits 525Mbps on a 1.3Gbps internet plan. Onn 4k Pro v2 comes with Gemini and a lighted remote + remote finder that is activated by a button on top of the streamer that causes the remote to emit a beeping noise for locating, the microphone can be disabled by a switch on the back of the streamer.
It's an excellent buy if you don't care about LAN & USB 2.0 but even the Google Streamer comes without an additional USB port.

Google TV sucks. I would rather pay a bit more for Apple TV 4K, with a much better UI and remote control experience.

I have you tried a factory reset or anything? I have one of these and the older chromecast and they both work pretty good with remembering where I was on a show.
