For long trips, does anyone have feedback on how this compares to buying a Yeti Cooler and stocking it with ice for perishable foods and beverages?
Way better. Ice can't keep things frozen. I use a whynter for groceries more than anything else. Also awesome is you can leave the groceries in the car if you run into a situation where you can't unload right away (screaming baby, heading to a bbq, keeping stuff cold at the campground). Throw in a power supply and you're good for hours/days!

Would this work well in the bed of a truck with a bed cover? No direct sunlight, but high ambient temps
I bought a large one from Costco many years ago and it does OK inside a house, but I only used it a few times and it's mostly been sitting in my garage. but if you look up research these thermoelectric coolers they only do well in reasonable temperatures. I think it was like 70° or so maybe 80s not sure. You would not want to trust this I think for any thing that might rot and make you sick, like meat. So unless they're making them somehow better these days, I'd expect that to hold true.

Nice deal.Keep it out of the direct sunlight & well ventilated to cool properly.
Can it still be kept in Y subtrunk while in use?

is not the 30 quart a better option? Wonder why the 23 quart is more popular.
It's the perfect size for the subtrunk in my Model Y. Use it all the time every day. It gets hot where it sits but hasn't given up the ghost

This is not thermoelectric. It's an actual fridge.

I have had this one [a.co] sitting in my "saved for later" for months. I don't need it, but want it. A bit cheaper. And I would go for the bigger version.

Thank you. I ended up getting a 53 quart refrigerator from that seller. I appreciate the heads up.

Meh, very small, good for only can drinks Mine arrived doa and the compressor does not start up. Only the fan is whirring. Would probably avoid and get a much bigger one and from more reputable mfg. Support was quick to respond, will see how hard it will be to replace it.
