This Aukey 27,600mAh, 140W USB C power bank stands out as a high capacity backup for phones, laptops, and overnight outage insurance. The 99.36Wh rating sits just under the usual 100Wh airline limit, and the unit is reported to carry a CCC or 3C seal for Mainland China travel. The main caution is travel confusion, since the 140W output and airline rules get mixed up, so checking with your carrier is still wise. A solid compact power source for bags and storms.

  • Travelers who need a power bank that's usable for Mainland China domestic flights because commenters say it has CCC/3C certification and that China's mid-2025 rules require 3C for power banks on domestic aircraft.

  • Tech-bag packers who want something compact for carry-on because commenters argue the key airline metric is watt-hours (Wh) and say this unit is ~99.36Wh, i.e., under the 100Wh limit.

  • People prepping for short outages who mainly want to keep small USB-C devices running because commenters say it's "power goes out overnight" insurance for phones and possibly a laptop, not something meant to run bigger appliances like a fridge.

  • Shoppers who want a reliable backup brand and don't mind a deal that's "always good to have" because one commenter says they've used Aukey brands for a long time and another says the Anker version is great for keeping devices charged (e.g., before a storm) at $50.

  • Travelers who are relying on the listing's 140W claim for carry-on approval because commenters raise concerns that airlines/TSA may enforce a 100W output limit (and that 140W could be rejected).

  • Home backup planners who need to run major appliances during storms because commenters say this will only cover phones (and maybe a laptop) and that a fridge would require something much larger (around 1 kWh).

  • People planning to bring it on airplanes who want a smooth airport experience because one commenter says flying with these is a hassle and their wife discarded one after traveling due to trouble with traveling with it.

  • People who specifically need to meet a strict maximum capacity rule like 26,000mAh for flights because one commenter claims you can't bring 27,600mAh on an airplane and that the maximum allowed is 26,000mAh.

I have the Anker version of this and it's great. For $50 why not, always good to have one of these to keep charged before a storm or something. Doesn't hurt
If you're prepping for a storm/power outage I'd recommend something bigger than this. This'll get your phone and maybe your laptop through the storm, but if you need to make sure your fridge works you'll need at least 1 kwhr.

Oh I know. If we have a real storm my freezer is scrwwed. This is just more "power goes out overnight" insurance where you can power some cheap usb C lights

Anyone knows if it's 3C certified? I'm about to travel to China soon
My understanding is that 100W is now the limit. At least with a handful of U.S. airlines I inquired with. I would inquire directly with the airline you intend to travel with. Still a solid deal for other use cases either way.

I think the limit is 100Wh. Which is something you get from multiplying mAh by voltage (3.7v for typical lithium battery). 140W is the output and I'm not sure that there is any limitations that I've seen from the airlines. Can someone clarify this point about limitations on output wattage limit from airlines? I'm just not sure.

I suspect that anyone that's stating a 100 watt limit is confusing the 100 watt hour limit (two different things) - I haven't been able to find any limits to output wattage on any article, but instead just the watt-hour limit

If it's the same one they sold recently, yes. I bought it last time. Model PB-Y63.

Edit: It is this model. It has the CCC stamp along with other specs and certifications on one side of the block. Here's a link to a Singapore site that shows more detail than the Aukey site.

Don't take these on the airplane unless you like to have all your luggage turned inside out and strip searched. My wife threw hers in trash because flying with it is a pain.
Was it this one? The certifications and specs are permanently stamped on one side. Sounds like you got overzealous TSA or ICE posing as TSA.

I don't think TSA will let you take off with it... I was told being under 29000mAH is not enough, it also needs to be under 100W and this one is 140W
you're misinformed. it's under 100Wh. the ponies have to do with watt hours. nothing about MaH.

anything over 10k mah will give you hard time at customs. if it's bigger than size of cell phone, it's not worth the hassle.
Lies, I frequently travel with a 16000mah wireless charger and have never been questioned by TSA. They haven't even taken a look at it tbh. I put it in my backpack
