This Aukey 27,600mAh, 140W USB C power bank stands out as a high capacity backup for phones, laptops, and overnight outage insurance. The 99.36Wh rating sits just under the usual 100Wh airline limit, and the unit is reported to carry a CCC or 3C seal for Mainland China travel. The main caution is travel confusion, since the 140W output and airline rules get mixed up, so checking with your carrier is still wise. A solid compact power source for bags and storms.

  • The 27,600mAh capacity may be treated as over the airline limit by some guidance, creating carry-on uncertainty.

  • Travel guidance is conflicting, and some comments advise against bringing the power bank on airplanes due to hassle.

  • The 140W output claim may conflict with carry-on rules that some comments describe as requiring under 100W.

  • The power bank may not run larger appliances during outages, such as a fridge, which likely needs around 1kWh.

If you're prepping for a storm/power outage I'd recommend something bigger than this. This'll get your phone and maybe your laptop through the storm, but if you need to make sure your fridge works you'll need at least 1 kwhr.
This can go on an airplane, this is more of a throw it in your tech bag than anything

I remember Aukey was up there in quality with Anker and other similar brands. Are they still reliable?

27600mAh.. You can't bring this on an airplane. Maximum allowed is 26000mAh.
It goes by Wh, not mAh. 3.6 V x 27600 mAh gives 99.36 Wh

Don't take these on the airplane unless you like to have all your luggage turned inside out and strip searched. My wife threw hers in trash because flying with it is a pain.
Lies.

Holy moley the last Ai generated picture on this product is doing them NO favors.

Ai generated ol' fogey is slapping a 1930's light onto this battery which makes the battery look absolutely gargantuan. Like x5 the actual size.

Anyone have any experience with this Emerson vs the Aukey?
Probably made by same Chinese manufacturer that puts different brant name on them for different vendors (Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, etc.)
I ordered the one from Walmart, It's about $15 cheaper and if I don't like it, will drive to my local Walmart & return it.

I was looking for the same thing this morning, starting from 06/28/2025, powerbanks need to have CCC certification to bring it on the aircraft within Mainland China.

Seems like this one does have the triple C cert:

I may have to buy one just because of this.
It looks like it does but you need to pick that configuration: https://aukey.sg/products/aukey-p...power-bank

No idea if this one will come with it
