No doubt this is a good price but keep in mind TP-Link will lock you down with a proprietary firmware. For $30 more (no promo price, may go down soon), you may want to consider Beryl 7 from GL.iNet. You get an OpenWrt based firmware which allows you install whatever specific need you may have for your travel setups. Beryl also comes with much more powerful processor: Quad 2GHz vs TP-Link's dual 1.3GHz. This matters quite a bit if you intend to tunnel all your traffic back home or through a third party VPN provider. New GL.iNet gear also support USB-C PD, so you can use laptop/phone chargers that support 9V or 12V. In cases you want to run from a battery bank Beryl will be a lot more power efficient.
(There's also the fact that that Beryl comes with 2x2.5GbE ports as opposed to 2.5GbE + 1GbE of TP-Link, but I doubt that matters for 99.99% of traveler router users)

IT experts, Hegseth and Trump, said TP-link products are "dangerous spyway for Chy-na".
Page has been turned, the CEO of TP-link is seeking Trump's Gold Card right now: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/ar...-gold-card. Soon he will be the best company CEO after Intel from Trump.
