I got one of these poly rugs like 6 months ago (3x5), and it has been great for my rolling office chair over my hardwood floors.
I figure my son needs on in his room as well for his floor before the finish gets worn from the wheels.
For $20, I like this much better than the plastic or glass hardwood floor pads for chairs.
