Everytime I see a Microcenter deal, I click like the naive enthusiast I am. I am greeted with yet another 'not carried in Austin store.'

Has anyone been to the Austin store? Do they actually sell things? If so, what?

Thats really a shame, I'm in the Ohio Market, and they always have these deals on hand and in-stock. I havent lost faith in them, sorry all the store are not able to replicate things in todays "Ai" controlled inflation.

Isn't that store opening in the near future? Pretty sure it isn't open yet. Do check when it is though! When they opened the Phoenix store last year they took a huge discount off of already discounted computers for the store opening. Got a 9800x3d with a 5080 for $1750 (and there were some people who got it for $200 lower due to a retroactive price match)

Why is this so upvoted? $1200 for 7500x3d and 9060xt?

Just go build this yourself for $1000 its really not that hard it takes 30 minutes.

I'd believe you if you posted a PcPartPicker list, but I don't see any way you could build this for $1000. With a $450 GPU, $200 for DDR5 RAM, and and $180ish for a comparable CPU you'd have almost nothing left for the case, SSD, mobo, Windows license, etc.

Simple. CPU/MB/RAM is $300 (https://www.microcenter.com/produ...toreID=155), GPU is $420 (https://www.microcenter.com/produ...phics-card) and yes, the rest has cost, but there's $480 (or $280) left too...that buys a lot of $29 cases (at one time those cases were seriously marked down), 1TB SSD, Windows license, PSU, and assembly.

Is everyone just going to bash every prebuilt because you can build cheaper for your self. The company has to make money to build it.just saying. What people are looking for is it on sale for a prebuilt. Only down thumb it if it is not a good sale price on a prebuild. Some people can care less about building it them selves

Any comments on how this build compares with this other one? Looking for light gaming:

5060Ti 16GB > 9060XT 16GB.
I would go with the other one - cheaper, and better GPU. That said, CPU socket on a dead end...
Either of these are great for very heavy gaming. "Light gaming" generally means integrated graphics.

I believe the Columbus Ohio store is their main store, and MC is still based out of Ohio.
(A Few Moments Later...) Yep, just checked. Hilliard (suburb of Columbus) is their headquarters still. So yeah, their home market tends to be fully stocked, clean, and with the ideal staff. They likely have corporate walking the aisles and nitpicking on the regular.
