This looks like it is modeled after the tables made by GCI Outdoors, which are usually made of aluminum. The GCI tables are really handy tables to have around. They fold up compactly and they are more sturdy than you might expect when they are set up. I don't know how strong these would be in plastic. One thing I could see happening is the plastic becoming brittle over time due to sunlight exposure. At $15 they are probably at least half of the cheapest price I've ever purchased them for (in aluminum) so maybe just look at these as more disposable versions of the aluminum ones. I don't see them lasting as long.

So seems like these sit lower than typical tray tables. 19"
-21"

If you look at the picture of the underside these look pretty cheaply made. I think these were designed to be sold at $15.
