Wish these were variable speed but I'll take what I can get. I can't find the tool for my old one so this will work!

How does this compare with Harbor freight for $15?

You will probably prefer this one with the momentary paddle switch.

If you want to move up to a variable-speed grinder, and have a reason to, you could try the Avid Power on Amazon for $45. Those have worked well for me.

Got mine today and the trigger didn't work. Wiggled in, pulled multiple times and it would randomly kick on for a second and then shut off. Seems like a common complaint from the reviews, ordered a replacement, hopefully it will be better and hold up.

I bought both in the past week. Got the Harbor Freight one for ~$10 with coupon and will be returning it. The build quality of the HF unit is much more flimsy feeling.

This one is just a hair better with the grip trigger or whatever it's called, and it also comes with three wheels which the harbor freight one does not.

Got one from HF for $9 almost a decade ago, that thing never dies. May have fallen on the concrete like 1000 times from my bench.

Honestly I also have like the cheapest 20 dollar angle grinder that held up well for years but this is one tool where I say to go for the highest quality tool. It's like the most dangerous tool you'll ever use and it'll last a long time.

But we all have to start somewhere so if budget is really your top priority go for it but looking back id invest in a high quality one when it comes to angle grinders.

Same. It won't give me an excuse to get another.

The $15 Harbor Freight model is up to $17 at my store but there are always sales. I've just used mine for sharpening the lawn mower blade and it was fine for that.

Haven't used this one, but they advertise a 6 amp motor vs the harbor freight warrior at 4.3 amps. This one should be a good bit more powerful, and you'll notice that difference doing anything more than light duty grinding/cutting. It'll also be heavier than the harbor freight one fwiw.

paddle switch is not "objectively" better. I also won't make my buying decision based on the fact that a tool comes with disposable grinding wheels that are for sure bottom of the barrel in terms of quality.
