It's 3400 sheets of tp (1700 sheets per roll), vs the Costco brand pack which is only a few bucks more and has 11,400 sheets (30 rolls, 380 sheets per). Costco still wins even with the coupon discount.

Every time these "Forever Rolls" pop up, they cost more per sheet than just buying the smaller rolls of the same type of toilet paper.

This is no exception.

Ultra Soft Forever roll = $0.58/100 sheet (This deal) [amazon.com]

Ultra Soft Mega XL rolls = $0.45/100 sheet [amazon.com]

Ultra Soft Mega rolls = $0.49/100 sheet [walmart.com]

This is just an apples to apples price comparison, once you bring other brands into this, the deals for these "Forever rolls" gets even worse.

Charmin Ultra Soft Forever Roll is a giant-roll starter kit that stands out for the included brushed stainless steel holder and the convenience of fewer roll changes. The paper itself gets praise for feeling soft and smooth, and the setup can work well with bidets or as a long-lasting household supply. The main pushback is value, since the kit is repeatedly compared unfavorably on a per-sheet basis against Costco, standard Charmin, and other rolls. The oversized roll and bulky stand also draw complaints, making it a quirky space-hungry option rather than a simple bargain.

  • The kit can work well with a bidet because built-in blow drying can reduce toilet paper use to backup only.

    AlT5693

  • The subscription delivery experience can be reliable, with rolls lasting about two to three weeks per household.

    VioletFlag1647

  • The stand included with the kit can be quality, and it can be used to outfit a second bathroom.

    cah326

  • The checkout breakdown can show a coupon and Subscribe & Save stacking to reach the advertised total before tax.

    xteena

  • The "Forever" claim can be questioned because it is described as lasting only up to one month.

    Gringo.Loco

  • The kit can feel less soft than expected, with some describing a "cling-ons" problem.

    Furio_Giunta

  • The per-sheet pricing can be worse than other Charmin options, including a higher cost per 100 sheets for the Forever rolls.

    Raines8416

  • The giant roll format can be bulky and unattractive, which can make the starter kit feel not worth it.

the username being used on this thread gives my stomach butteflies. <<shudder>>

What does that mean

On an aside:
A really good way of getting rid of butteflies is to use a bidet

Why is this a "starter kit?" I've been using toilet paper most of my adult life.

We subscribed to have these delivered prior to Covid and this subscription was a life saver. Charmin sent us an email saying regardless of Covid and all the craziness, we would always get our subscription delivered and they did. We never ran out of TP. Awesome!!

This roll of paper is so much better than the normal rolls. The inner tube is thicker and much smoother. This thing rolls like it were on bearings.

PS: we have a bidet and we use the Charmin forever roll. Absolutely love it

Of course you wipe. The point is that you won't have to have exorbitant amounts of TP stocked at any given time since you will only need a few sheets.
I find I wipe more with a bidet because of all the water lol. It's cleaner, but I definitely don't think it's more tp efficient.

Forever is apparently "up to one month"?

Had a coworker who used to buy 2 ply and peel it back and make it 1 ply for his girlfriend and he. I always wondered why hey just didn't buy 1 ply from the beginning.

Sounds like someone needs a bidet in their life
We know it's an option. This is specifically for those interested in TP. This is not a survey thread. But it happens in most TP deals, so only a minor annoyance at this point.

The most helpful post here got just one person to rep them so far- me. They did the math vs Costco TP. Some actual data.

Second place goes to a comment that was very hard to understand. Talking about this versus a bag (of TP). But the human brain can make it make sense. They get an A for effort, and reps from me.

The bidet comments are as stale as "No HDMI". And it gets old that many chime in as if they are the first to mention it. Not bothering to read the comments and see that it's already been put out there.

Here's a thought. Post a bidet deal thread. Leave TP alone. TP is sick of your bullying.

Those who get bidets, you never wipe? I have a bidet and there will never be a case where I just use the bidet and get up, even if it's to double check. Not ever meal is same.. so not every doodoo is same.
Generally no. Just wait 5 seconds to let the excess water drip off, maybe give your tush a good shake and let the rest air dry. You're talking about a few drops at best. It's a bidet, not a shower.

Mine (alpha pearl) has a dryer built in which removes nearly all the moisture but it does take a good minute to get it all. Plenty of times where I don't want to wait and keep it moving.
