Same reply as last time. None of that addresses or clarifies the company involvement with the malware, it's their damage control and crisis response. Same as you are doing here on this site, on a regular basis. Those of us in industry will not be swayed by their claims, then or now.

For those being downvoted, don't be gaslit. I tested a unit last year, post scandal manufacture. Same Redline clone malware, same custom install of Chrome with browser hijackers, same custom Windows with exploits on the recovery partition. Even a nuked clean reinstall of Windows I would not trust. It is trivial to deploy exploits to firmware, and I would not put it past this company for a single second.

Same goes for Kamrui, which is yet another AceMagic sub-brand with the same malware. There's a reason these brands are being constantly posted here, and it's not consumers finding deals...

The deal history also gives you an option to click and see the product. If you'd done that, before commenting, you'd know that was a different model with a different and inferior processor and less and slower RAM.

A bit snarky aren't we? Why would the OP "know" that the tool is borked?

Community Reviews

This Kron K1 mini PC stands out as a compact Ryzen 7 7735HS box with 24GB LPDDR5 and a 512GB SSD, and the price looks strong against recent mini PC deals and the cost of DDR5 memory alone. The 24GB soldered memory and integrated Radeon 680M make it appealing for light gaming, retro emulation, media streaming, Linux server use, and even local AI experiments. The main drawbacks are the non expandable RAM, the modest 512GB drive, and the 1GbE network port. Brand trust also comes up because of past malware and warranty concerns, so a clean Windows install is often treated as part of the setup.

Fair enough, I stand corrected. Guess SD's tools aren't as reliable as they should be. Why would they show up as the same product?

Because I check and verify things before commenting.
The products have the same name/model "Kron K1" but just different specs hence why it's being shown in that list. It's common here that's why it's better to click on it and check.
Saying this was cheaper without any verification negatively affects the deal and misguides the members here.

Considering the prices of parts, yes it is.

Have you not been following the news? There's a mass memory and storage crisis lol. Of course prices changed for computers.
Like I mentioned above, it's not the same model/product that he referred to. But yes, your point still stands.

There was a FP deal for Kamrui Hyper H1 at $395, with exactly the same specs, just a few days ago. So, yes, this is a hot deal.

As they always do during times of high demand/low supply.

A little box like this with the DDR5 will make a nice little local LLM box if you're looking to play around with your own private AI. If the memory is expandable (I didn't look) this is even better.

Looks like a great deal on a compact PC, especially since it already has a good amount of high performance RAM. Only thing that would need to be changed out is the 512 SSD, 1TB should be the standard now a days since applications now can be over 100gigs to install.
