Not sure why so many people are hating on Craftsman. It is a good brand. Perfect for a DIYer or someone who needs some tools around the house. I love mine.

Yeah, I've got a couple of their tools and they seem more than fine. I think they are solid mid-range, with Ryobi and others. Of course, check out Project Farm and see what he has to say. I'm guessing most of their tools rank pretty well. They are not Milwaukee or DeWalt, but they are solid.

Also, $200 for 5 tools, a light, two batteries, a charger, and a bag is pretty good. $40 per tool for 20V is hard to beat. And they are tools that you actually use, unlike a lot of sets that have a lot of worthless filler or otherwise cheap/seldom used tools.

I can understand that thought. The only answer I have is people. 25 years ago I paid that amount for a cordless DeWalt 5 1/2" saw that last two years in construction with moderate use. We live in a different world, people have a different understanding of value. That set looks fine for a family that would use any part a few times per year. It's not intended for Builders to grind on all day every day, and priced accordingly.

Good value. If you use a tool a few times per year, it is much better to buy these kind of tools than buying X3 or X4 expensive tool set.
