These are also the smaller 3.7oz bars - the ones at Costco are over 4oz so pricing should be per ounce, not per bar

24 for $12.58 ($0.52 each) is a much better deal than 12 for $8 ($0.67 each).

Irish Spring Original Clean is a classic strong scented bar soap that works well as a long lasting everyday staple, especially if you already like the scent and lather. The 24 pack stretches a long time, and the per bar price can beat smaller packs when compared directly. The main caveat is value, since Costco, Sam's Club, Target, and Walmart have been cited with lower prices or larger bars, and the current coupon appears to be gone. The scent is also very pungent for some, and the bars may go faster than expected.

  • Subscribe-and-Save pricing may still be favorable versus some non-membership options when per-bar math is used.

  • The 24-pack price can work out to a lower per-bar cost than a 12-pack option.

    AlwaysWrite

  • The deal can be competitive when compared on a per-ounce basis against other retailers' bar sizes.

    samgotit

  • Some shoppers report that Irish Spring works well for them after trying other brands that caused skin reactions.

    SimMike777

  • The bars may be smaller than other listings, so per-bar comparisons can mislead without per-ounce math.

    RaphyCyanShoe161

  • The strong, pungent odor can be a dealbreaker for some buyers.

    IndigoTent3072futking

  • A $2 off coupon reportedly is no longer available, which can reduce the effective deal.

    saintirish

  • The bars can melt quickly with regular daily use, which may shorten how long the 24-pack lasts.

not if these are smaller than the ones at Costco/Target, and everywhere else
math again:

Target 12 bars x 3.7 oz @ $7.99 = $0.18/oz
Costco 20 bars x 4.5 oz @ $11.99 = $0.13/oz
Amazon 24 bars x 3.75 oz @ $11.05 = $0.12/oz

I don't trust Amazon to not ship it with other food items in my monthly shipment and have my coffee taste like Irish Spring.

Online it actually says they're 4.5oz, so an even better deal from Costco.

Edit: just noticed you said "over 4oz."

It takes a long time to go through 24 bars of soap.

Then don't buy from Costco. The 24 bars from Amazon* and the 20 bars from Costco are the exact same ammount of soap. I have a TI-89.

Not really. I live alone and shower daily and use this soap and these bars 'melt' rather fast for a bar soap. Just my experience, YMMV.
