I haven't used the one with the camera, but these are super impressive when paired with a head unit or watch. Being able to see how many cars are coming up behind you, as well as how rapidly, is so nice when compared with trying to watch over the shoulder.

Its a phone app. Yes you can see the radar stuff on the side of the app screen. Audible cues help so you dont have to keep watching it.

The video on these is not great due to no/bad image stabilization. If you are spending $300, then you should be buying the new 820 with more detailed detection capabilities for the same price, not this one.
