These aren't USB C yet are they? I'm holding out for that. Can't get a good look at charging port and description just says charging cable

To me, it's a newer version of the 515, not the 715. There's no camera on that one. If you only want radar and tail light, compare to that one and decide if it's a deal. It regularly goes on sale.

The RTL515 has been godsend of a product which has been succeeded by the latest RearVue820 (MSRP $300). The RTL515 is still bloody fantastic though!

Dayam. When did new one come out? Double the rtl515? Same price as this camera model, hmmm.. does the camera model show the live view on phone?

The new one came out a few months ago. Quite a few improvements over RTL515 (better battery life, increased range, USB-C, etc.) but only you can decide whether it's worth the price. AFAIK, the camera model initially got a lot of negative reviews between clunky software and laughably bad hardware. It is nowhere near an action cam level, most notably it doesn't have any imagine stabilization. I don't think Garmin has significantly improved it since, imo I would avoid it.

New one looks very good.. but not buying until the current one dies.. its that good, Microusb and all.
