Waterdrop Direct via eBay is selling certified refurbished G3P600 reverse osmosis systems that are eligible for eBay's 20% off SMARTWINS coupon that's valid until May 11. The coupon brings the price for this unit down to about $309 and shipping is free.
I just installed one of these myself and have been very impressed with it. It's relatively quiet, the flow is much faster than I expected, the install was easy, and I didn't have to dedicate an entire cabinet to a pressurized tank: the unit actually fit in my cabinet without needing to remove my garbage disposal or undersink trash can.
The TDS reading on my unit is accurate to my separate meter, and in my case provides about a 95% reduction. I previously purchased an Elkay Avado integrated filtered faucet and used it instead of the included faucet so that I wouldn't need to drill another hole in my countertop; it works perfectly, but you will likely need to adapt the line from the RO system from 3/8" to 1/4" if you don't use the included faucet.
Because of the automatic back flush on these units, to make it as efficient as possible, I fill a pitcher or two with this water and put them in the fridge and use as needed. If you're filling less than 32oz at a time, you're not going to achieve the 2:1 efficiency it advertises because of the back flushing.
