This 65 inch LG OLED at $799.97 stands out as a strong value for getting OLED picture quality at a relatively low price. The B5 and C5 comparisons suggest the gap is small in everyday viewing, with the C series mainly brighter in short bursts and not dramatically better for full screen brightness. Local pricing has also shown lower tags around $500 to $629, so the current price may not be the floor. Costco warehouse stock and app availability have been unreliable, and manager markdowns may not price match.
Common Questions (5)
Yes, the B5 is still considered an excellent OLED deal at $800, and the picture-quality gap versus a C5 is small in normal viewing. The C5 is mainly brighter in short bursts, while full-screen brightness differences are minor.
It has held around $800 for about 5 weeks, and a further drop in 2-3 weeks is plausible. Similar Costco/BJ's OLED markdowns have later fallen to $499, so waiting can pay off if you are not in a hurry.
Not reliably. The app can show "IN STOCK" at a warehouse even when there are no units available, so it is worth calling or checking in person before driving over.
The referenced 3-year protection plan is through MC, not Costco. That matters because the coverage is separate from the warehouse purchase and should be checked before buying.
No, these are manager markdowns, so Costco will not price match other stores. If you want the lower price, you need to find it at the warehouse that marked it down.

When the C series is close to the same price, it makes sense. The B's are still great TV's. We have a 48" B4, 65" B5, and a 77" C5. Don't regret any of them and found them all on very good deals.
currently have a C2 model with a 3 year protection warranty coming up. Kids will break it within the month or so.
options
B5 model from costco ,
and use credit $9xx credit for a macbook
or
C5 swap out no cost
