Using this is a great way of damaging your flapper or other hardware in your toilet. Advise not using this at all.

I use this brand for other uses (dishwasher, disposal, washing machine) and those work well. However, and I'll caveat with this I am not terribly knowledgeable about this nor a professional, hasn't the attitude changed on cleaning products used in the toilet tank? My vague memory on the issue is that they don't clean that well and may actually be harmful to the hardware.
Routine scrubbing with a brush, a bit of cleaning product in the bowl, and a pumice stone for the rare times when there is bad build up keeps things tidy for me.

They still sell these? These damage the hardware inside your toilet. It was 'neat idea' before people knew that, and yet they still try to sell these things?

the only professional cleaner that really cleans deposits and rings is the acidic one, with at least 10% HCl.

Many tank/flapper/filler manufacturers clearly state in the tank not to use this type of cleaners otherwise it will void the warranty. Just get one of those you attach to side of the bowl if it's really necessary, I remember they used to have gel ones that stick to bowl those were pretty good too.

Check ur toilet care and maintenance instructions. My Kohler brand one clearly says no cleaning products inside the tank. It will destroy the flapper.

the little sticky gel cleaners that go INSIDE the bowl are best…as stated here these are a self-inflicted maintenance nightmare.

Anyone use these in a 'kaboom' type system? Got a few of those on the toilet but stopped using the chlorine tabs in them. Thinking of trying these out.

I have stopped adding these things especially if anything that contains bleach. Have an experience from damaged washers & water continuously leaking. The easy & best way to sparkly clean the bowl I have found is using Clorox Toilet wands, they have disposable tough sponge in the front and with push of a button you throw it in the trash. Easy, simple & squeaky clean. I usually grab 2 boxes when they go on sale at costco.

I tried before and this thing is bigger than a chlorine tabs so it will not fit into 'kaboom' system.
