It's painful to watch memory and NVMe prices go up 400%, for a community of people who tend to squabble and wait to buy so they can save 10-20%. Who in this chat isn't kicking themselves for not upgrading sooner?
Then decided .... I don't REALLY need this. I have a 5900x based system and another 12700k from almost 4 years ago (2022?) I'm still trying to find a use for. After a few hours, the impulse subsided and I saved nearly $800!

This bundle pairs Intel's Ultra 7 270K Plus with a Gigabyte Z890 board and 32GB of DDR5, and the strongest takeaway is its productivity muscle for the price. The chip is described as top tier for multi threaded work, very fast in single thread, and still decent for gaming, with the board seen as solid and the RAM discount helping the value. Power draw can reach 250W and cooling may need attention for heavy all core renders, while the motherboard is not considered especially overclocking friendly. It feels like a strong all around build kit if you want Intel performance without paying flagship prices.
productivity-focused builders who want strong multi-thread and single-thread performance for the money because commenters say the 270k+ bundle is top-performing in most productivity programs and still decent in gaming.
people upgrading from an older Ryzen 5000 system for smoother OBS/meeting performance because one commenter said their 5900XT stutters in OBS during meetings with PowerPoint and expects the 270k to be an upgrade in every way (including light gaming).
buyers who care about getting a complete bundle in stock locally because commenters reported the bundle is in stock in Houston and that NY stores restocked.
enthusiasts who want to push benchmarks/overclocks a bit because one commenter said they paired it with an MSI Z890 and cranked the CPU to a high Cinebench 23 score.
people who specifically want a different motherboard model in the bundle because commenters said their main gripe is that the motherboards they want are often not included in MicroCenter bundles.
buyers who plan to do heavy overclocking because the motherboard in the bundle is described as solid but "definitely not very overclocking worthy."
shoppers who might want to return only part of the deal because MicroCenter's return policy requires returning the entire bundle, not just the components you don't want.

The 9850x3d in normal world use will feel very fast, and having the opportunity to upgrade to Zen6 puts it over the top...
Maybe Intel will change all that when they debut the LGA1954 next year...

That is my main gripe with MC bundles. The motherboards I want are never included.
