This is a cheap in ground garden soil deal, with free shipping making the price stand out when it works. The bag count tops out at nine for free delivery, and the offer is lighter to carry than the smaller Miracle Gro option. Quality concerns dominate the comments, with repeated reports of weeds, mulch, wood shavings, plastic, metal bits, and even trash instead of real soil. A few notes point to better priced alternatives at Walmart or Lowe's, so the main appeal is convenience rather than premium fill.
Common Questions (4)
Yes. Multiple bags are reported to contain weeds, mulch, sticks, wood pieces, plastic, and even metal bits, with some bags described as mostly shredded wood or peat rather than soil. It can be worth checking bag weight and contents before using it in beds or planters.
The $2 bag price is better than Lowe's $2.38 comparison and some shoppers say it beats the Lowe's deal unless you can get free shipping there. Walmart alternatives are also mentioned as cheaper per cubic foot, including a 2 cu. ft. Expert Gardener bag for $5.
Free shipping appears to cap at 9 bags; adding a 10th bag can trigger about $35 in shipping. If free delivery is the goal, staying at 9 bags is the practical limit.
Yes, it can work in above-ground planters, and one reported setup adds a little fertilizer and sand to improve it. Another note says it grows mushrooms, which is often taken as a sign of active organic material.

We don't want to go to a Walmart to find this deal, hopefully, and load up everything ourselves
