This is a cheap in ground garden soil deal, with free shipping making the price stand out when it works. The bag count tops out at nine for free delivery, and the offer is lighter to carry than the smaller Miracle Gro option. Quality concerns dominate the comments, with repeated reports of weeds, mulch, wood shavings, plastic, metal bits, and even trash instead of real soil. A few notes point to better priced alternatives at Walmart or Lowe's, so the main appeal is convenience rather than premium fill.
Free shipping can make the $2-per-bag offer worthwhile for bulk purchases.
The deal can work out to about $2.29 per bag after accounting for free bags.
The soil can perform acceptably in above-ground planters when mixed with fertilizer and sand.
The offer can be convenient because it ships multiple bags to the door for a single order.
The soil can contain excessive mulch, sticks, wood pieces, and plastic that makes it hard to get mostly soil.
Bag contents can vary, including reports of bags arriving smaller or mostly peat and wood shavings.
Free shipping can fail or be limited, including reports that adding a 10th bag triggers a large shipping charge.
Weeds can be a major issue, including reports of weeds showing up in melon plants.

Please show/tell me the brand or whatever at Walmart so I can buy 2 cu ft of dirt for $5.
