Bought this knife and returned it the next day. Given the cost, the action is just too stiff. Used some PTFE spray lube and it helped, but compared to my Harbor Freight Icon for example - it was too tough to open to the point of locking with a thumb flip on the stud. I highly doubt there are any bearings to make opening smooth. The steel sounded like a good grade and the lock was absolutely solid, but given the price I think there are other opens out there that are a better deal for cutting cardboard, opening mail, and cutting fruit which is what I use my knives for. I also found the knife too thin, but that is more of a personal preference.
