Ive had a few jbl subs over the years, their amp boards crap out and then theyre an expensive paperweight. No more jbl subs for me.

FYI these are really more like PA speakers for auditoriums and the like, not really for home use.

They're also passive, so bring your own amp.

Yeah. One can tell by just looking at the surround type. JBL lists it as 43 to 1k Hz. So really a mid bass to lower midrange.
