I am not an expert and I just ordered this from Costco but did a lot of research on 3 vs 5 ply. The primary reason to go with a 5 ply is because it's "sturdy" or less prone to warping. I can't seem to find more info on the durability difference but I believe they can both warp if abused. Use it properly and they'll both last a while ~so use the rightsize burner, let it cool off before washing with cold water, don't use very high heat for an extended period of time especially if the burner is small on a biggerpot/pan, gradually increase the heat especially if you have induction (rapid heat warps it), etc.. Outside of durability there is no other benefits to using 5 ply. I've read on reddit people using this same set for years so 5ply is not a must-have. If anything, buy this and if warping is still an issue, replace the ones warping with a 5ply at a later date/time.
on another note the same brand 14 piece set was on sale for $180 at Sam's few weeks ago.
Anyways, someone correct me if I am wrong - happy to be wrong.

That's a lot of money for what is just standard 3-ply impact bonded pans. Better to get a good 5-ply set.

These are fully clad not just impact bonded.

I have this set and I think the lowest price was closer to $160, but due to tariffs, the price went from $200 to $240 MSRP. After 2 years of use, I like these pots/pans for how well they retain the heat and cook evenly. I do wish they had a 2-2.5qt sauce pan, but they've been great otherwise.

Pro tip - make sure of buy some Barkeeper's Friend to keep the stainless steel looking good otherwise the pans will become discolored after you wash them just using dish soap.

How do these compare to All-clad?

Impact bonded means the billet in the bottom between cladding, and how the cladding is done. The billet is what keeps even heat without distorting the pan and allowing induction cooking.

There are lots of good sets. Costco Kirkland signature is a great value, but a lot of the brands our supplier made when I was working with them have changed. brand names come and go, just google "quality 5-ply impact bonded pan sets".

This is a great set. I think it's kinda crappy that there's no 12" pan included in a set this size, but if this falls within your budget and has your needs, you'll be very happy with it.

I've had this set for several years now. Great cookware. Heats evenly and super easy to clean. Would highly recommend to anyone who needs a fresh set of pots and pans.

I believe the lids on the Sam's Club set were glass while these have stainless steel.

I've had these for a few years. Love them. Would buy them again in an instant. I bought a few extra All-Clad scratch and dent to fill in the missing pieces along with one huge Tramontina pot for soups and stocks. This is a much better deal than nearly anything else out there as long as you can get used to cooking on stainless steel.

I'll second all the other comments on here. I've had this set for over a year and love it. I've used on gas and now on induction. No issues. Barkeeper's friend is your friend
