I had this saw and it was underpowered and the chain always came loose. Pretty much every also cordless chainsaw on the market is better than this POS. With the exception of the Craftsman RP cordless trim router and 3" cutting off tool, Craftsmans power tools are complete garbage. I made the mistake of buying into their 20V platform (or if we are being honest like every other tool company other than Stanley Black & Decker these are 18V tools) when I first bought a house after moving from Manhattan and didn't know what tool brands were good. My dad always bought Craftsmans tools when I was growing up, so I assumed they were still good. Obviously not the case after Stanley Black & Decker bought the brand out of the Sears bankruptcy and turned it into a steaming pile of dog crap. Literally buy any other chain than this one. If you are already at a Lowe's store and can't stand leaving the store without buying a chainsaw, literally buy any other chainsaw they have in the store (EGO, Kobalt, Dewalt, Skil, Husqvarna, etc.) If you want the most gangster compact chainsaw (12" and under) on the market, drive over to the big orange store and pick yourself up the M18 Fuel Hatchet and pair it with a 6Ah or 8Ah Forge battery and get ready to teach Paul Bunyan that you are the new sheriff in town and tell him and his blue ox to pack their bags. It comes with an 8 inch bar, but have read reviews of people swapping it out for up to a 14" bar and still not being able to stall it. The M18 Fuel Hatchet is the truth and this Craftsman is the stain it left on your mom's sheets last night.
