As an owner of about 10 different pairs of ear-clip style buds, anyone paying more than 40-50 bucks on this form factor is asking for disappointment, both in terms of sound quality and the fact that they are so easily lost. As opposed to in-ear style, you don't actually feel them on your ear. So if they get knocked off at a time there's no sound coming out of them, you probably won't notice. Of the ten pairs that I've owned five of them are missing one bud.
I was kind of wondering how good can the sound quality actually be. In reality, I think I'm getting something like this to take meetings, so a mic is important. Any suggestions on the low cost brands with a good mic? Music is good, and I'd probably use to work out since I don't like working out with in-ears.

The sound quality is absolutely fine, kinda good in fact, coming from someone who owns way too many Hi-Fi equipments. Easily lost is very clearly skill issue, and a sound testament to how comfortable they are. Personally I will grab one at this price any day if I don't already own a pair and I prefer other colors.

If I can't use ear buds, will these open bone conduction headphones be a good alternative? edit: oh wait these are earbuds. I thought Shokz was known for the open bone conduction headphones.

I can't keep earbuds in unless I replace the tips with memory foam ones. This type works fine for me as long as you don't accidentally knock it out like while trying to adjust while moving on a treadmill or just doing something active where you risk having it knocked out (which I guess is a problem for anything in your ear).

These are open earbuds not in ear.

I love them too, but for calls and podcasts only. And with so many flavors in the the $15-45 range, paying anything more than that without special features is a waste of money. My most expensive pair have a translation feature.

I paid $105 for a brand-new one a couple of days ago on TikTok Shop.

These are the best clip style earbud you can get in the US without importing the Huawei FreeClip 2. The fact that you can wear them all day, have no ear fatigue, and hear everything around you is the use case for this style. If you're in an environment where that is important to you, these are the best (aside from the FreeClip 2), hands down. If that's not important to you, you've made a dumb buying decision.... like complaining that your motorcycle can't haul bags of cement.

Would these work with a motorcycle helmet? Or should I go with Cardo for that purpose?

you probably won't hear much using these, since they are open ear and motorcycles are very loud

I respectfully disagree, I also have many different types of ear buds everything from the sound peats to the shokz. The sound quality is great for these plus the connection and multi device works flawless. I use the cheap earbuds at the pool and the shokz everyday. I paid $150 and they are worth every penny to me

As somebody that owns these, I can say these things are awesome and far better than any other brand in this form factor.
