Man, I've been playing Gibson since 1979 ... and I've never seen a Gibson .. that came anywhere near .. looking like that. So much so, I was looking at it for a while to see if it was a scam. So, take it one of two ways:

1.) Good. JawBreaker is a jackass and I never liked Gibson guitars. Maybe that means it's the guitar for me.
2.) Bad. No serious Gibson guy would ever .. well, probably wouldn't BELIEVE you that was a Gibson, thought you bought a sticker and put it on a K-Mart PRS or something .. or, if you could totally, completely convince him it was a Gibson .. at that point .. he would tell you to get the hell away from him.

For anyone that was interested in the 25.5" scale Epiphone Futura RD, $600 more for a 25.5" scale Gibson might be worth consideration.

3.) I'm a serious Gibson guy that knows the Victory originally debuted in the 80s and rereleased a year or two back. Jawbreaker isn't necessarily a jackass but he could have known that already and maybe he could have offered his opinion without gatekeeping or portraying himself as an arbiter of the brand.

That said, I don't personally get the appeal here either. You can get humbuckers in anything. The Gibson scale length is a massive part of their appeal to me and legacy shapes like the SG, V, and Explorer are simultaneously iconic and refreshingly anti-Strat. The Victory is a superstrat competitor with a Fender scale length...there are companies that do that better at this price.

Unless this body type and headstock really give you wood. Good call on JB44.

OK, how's this ... DOES THIS DO IT FOR YA?

"when you were there, and actually lived through the time period, aint nobody who wasn't Mongoloid Retard with genetic malfunctions who ever saw or played a Gibson like that."

Better?

You Get It, now?

Would a Capri-sun or a Hot Pocket help?

Tell that to the real life musicians that actually lived and actually played them in the 80's. And then there's this goober playing a modern reissue as though it might actually not be shameful to do so: https://www.facebook.com/schonmus...523096271/
