Made in U.S.A. Lifetime warranty on both lid and base which they honor. Excellent USA based customer service. Write on the lids with Milwaukee permanent markers and it easily wipes off. The 3 cu rect lid fits their 2 cu Pyrex glass base. Microplastics aren't a concern for me if dry grains and beans or produce will be washed before use.

Spend a little more and get glass ones. Don't we have enough plastic around us already?

Hard to tell from pictures, some of the reviews stated glass but are the container's themselves plastic or glass?
Obviously the lids are fine being plastic but don't need anymore microplastics touching my food.

Containers and lids are plastic. Environmental contamination like toxins in water and the air are more damaging than the amount of micro plastics in food containers. Synthetic fabrics in clothing, nylon bristles on toothbrushes, food packaging, cell phone cases, shampoo containers, car interiors, backpacks, watch straps, shoes, and 90% of the stuff we use contain plastic. Longevity in the early 1900s was around 50, and we're hovering around 75 now, and we've increased our plastic usage by orders of magnitude. No, I'm not saying plastic is healthy, but I'm saying some plastic in your containers is not going to be the only reason you die. If you get cancer from micro plastics, you'll get chemo from an IV drip made of a plastic tube and bag. Just a thought.

Is this the best deal to get replacement lids for the glass Snapware? The latches on the lids crack through after a while.

I've had mine for about 5 years and the latches are starting to crack and some of them have been broken. I also have the same question if it's just cheaper to get replacement set versus just the replacement lid

Just to push back on this a bit, but when the plastic is in long standing contact with food we're actually eating , I feel like that's a little more of a risk then plastic touching your skin for a brief period. Filters can remove toxins from the air and water as well. We're all just trying to do what we can! And using glass containers is low hanging fruit. Get the glass. It also won't degrade over time. You can microwave it without worry.

I only store food in plastic if it's going in the fridge, and I never use it in the microwave. I also minimize my exposure to plastic, but it's nearly impossible to avoid in modern society. I just think there are more pressing things to be concerned about regarding health, such as unfettered access to unregulated supplements and pollution from data centers.
