Definitely better than Anker's soundcore Q20i often sold in the $40 range. Not as good NC as higher end Bose QC or Sony. I don't use my Beats as a daily driver for watching movies since I tend to wear out over-ear headphones after a couple years.

I've never been impressed with Beats. I was lucky enough to have worked in an office where there were many different headphones around that I could give a listen too before buying. I tried 3 different Beats sets and was unimpressed by them. They were fine in all aspects (comfort, sound); but were never spectacular either. My personal thoughts is if you want to get something like this, check out older model QCs or Sony XMs. You will get much more bang for your buck with those guys. My set of QC35 IIs are nearing 10 years of constant use with no signs of stopping.
Or if you do want something a tad trendy, in the same category. The Nothing Headphone (a), are pretty phenomenal for the $199 pricetag with the same feature set. Plus the tactile buttons are a nice change from the normal "light touch" controls that are everywhere now.

For me they are okay. They aren't tight for my slightly larger head and the ANC feature is pretty decent but I really like the transparency mode where I can hear certain background noises when I am walking outside. Personally that is a boon for me since I don't want total ANC when outside.

I have these as well as SONY XM5 and 6, skullcrusher, Bowen px7, and QC. These beats are the worst of the bunch. No dynamic range. Good build quality though. Sony best overall followed by Bowen Wilkins, then a very close Bose QC and skullcrusher then beats.
