Different watches for different uses. EPIX line if are more geared towards trails and athlete style watch. Venu 4 for your daily smartwatch. Furthermore, I think the battery life for the 51mm is 30 days compared to the Venu 4 which is like 10 days.

I've noticed , that fenix and epix have maps preloaded on the watch, while venu lacks of that feature ...The Forerunner 970 have maps preloaded too..

Good deal. I wish it was on the 47mm. It seems that all the Garmin deals are for the 51mm which is huge. A friend at work has the fenix 8 51mm and it's just too big.

Although Epix is on the old gen software (that will never get new feature updates)
  • 100 m water rating (vs. 50 m on both FRs)
  • Longer GPS battery: up to 42 hr vs. 970's 26 hr vs. 570's 18 hr
  • Maps
Venu 4 is on the new unified software that all the new Garmin watches are on, so will get new features for next several years.
