A Short Hike is a charming, low stress adventure that feels especially strong at this price. The short main story still leaves room for side tasks and near 100 percent completion, and the characters, personalities, and humor stand out. It also works well for a relaxed family session, including with kids. The main drawback is that the laid back pace can get boring quickly for some. A compact, cheerful pick if you want something easygoing.
The game can be worth the $4 price point for players who enjoy a low-stress vibe.
The game runs well on integrated graphics, making it accessible on lower-end setups.
The game stays enjoyable after the main quest by encouraging side tasks toward near completion.
The game supports a chill co-op experience for kids, with genuinely funny moments.
The game may feel boring quickly for some players, so it is not for everyone.
The $4 eShop price may be less compelling for players who already claimed it for free on Epic.
